Article 15- Indian constitution

Article 15 Prohibits the discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth.

Article 15 is part of Fundamental rights in India constitution.

Fundamental rights give political freedom to the Indian citizen.

Article 15 (2) says that no citizen shall be subjected to any disability, liability, restriction or condition on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth with regards to

(a) Access to shops, public restaurant, hotel and places of public entertainment. Or

(b) The use of Wells , Tank, bathing ghats, road and place of public resort maintained wholly or partially by state fund.

To understand Article 15, it need to be considered comprehensively along with Article 14 and Article 16.

In Indian constitution, there is Fundamental rights which contains from Article 12 to Article 35.

From Article 14- Article 18 Is Right to Equality.

So that only Article 15 will seems like something need extra.

This is compensated by other Articles.

Also it gives Reservation for the development of women and children for their social and educational documents.

Means state can make special provision for them.

The constitution in India is at Top.

But due to unawareness among citizen, constitution couldn’t show it’s efficacy.

Education is very important factor to citizen strong 💪 and aware for their Rights.
